Monthly Meetings

No fat left here…it’s all been chewed!

We hold monthly Club meetings where we discuss amateur radio, have exciting presentations from hams and others, and prepare for supporting public service events. We also provide FCC-required license testing for those wishing to become ham operators or who wish to upgrade their current license to a more advanced one. These meetings are open to the public. Our December meeting is a Christmas Party with a meal, prizes, and and Emcee. Visitors are always welcomed, recognized, and greeted warmly.

The Rankin County E911 (also called EOC) Building, shared with the MSU Extension Service Office for Rankin County, is where we hold most all of our monthly meetings. The street address is 601 Marquette Road, Brandon MS 39042. Written directions are given below. On our home page and to the right, there is a Google Map where you can click the Rankin E911 marker and get custom directions from your location to our meeting site. If you have difficulties, please call us at 601-345-1654 for assistance.

We get started at 7:00pm on the second Tuesday of each month, although most gather a few minutes earlier to meet other hams, chat about their latest QSO (ham lingo for radio conversation) and so forth. Meetings tend to end about 8:30pm. All are welcomed.

The CMSARA Board of Directors and Officers also meet monthly. The Board meets the same day and place right before the general meeting at 6-7pm. Our Board Meetings are open to the membership, who are welcome and encouraged to come.
