Meeting Program:  Join for our second of two meetings were we get together and learn different construction methods of dipole antennas in preparation for Field Day. Regular license testing will be available at this meeting. 5/9 at 7:00pm.

Weekly ARES Net

The CMSARA ARES Team conducts a weekly ARES Net on Thursday evenings, beginning at 8:00pm Central Time and ending approximately at 9:00pm. Some Club news is exchanged but compilations of stations operating on emergency power with their locations is gathered. All licensed hams within reach of the repeater K5RKN in Brandon MS are welcomed. The frequency is 147.345 +offset 100Hz tone using analogue FM. It appears as an event in the Club Calendar on the home page of this website.

You do not have to be a member of ARES to check-in to this net!

All stations, this is ____, Net Control for this session of the Rankin County ARES Net.  This net meets each week at 2030 local time courtesy of the K5RKN repeater on 147.345.  This repeater has a 100 Hertz tone.  The purpose of this net is to encourage interest in, and to provide information about, the Amateur Radio Emergency Service in Rankin County.  ARES is a part of ARRL field organization and offers emergency communications services to public service and governmental agencies during potential and actual disasters.

All amateurs are welcome to the net. You do not have to be a member of ARES to join this net. This is a directed net. Please address all transmissions to net control. As always, Priority or Emergency transmissions will take precedence and will be handled immediately.
